Not sure if anyone has been following this story, but I just thought I would post the information to further shame those who don't pay their garbage bills.

The city of Erie is now using the Internet as part of its plan to better collect more than $1.6 million in delinquent refuse fees.An 88-page list of all delinquent garbage accounts greater than $100, as of Wednesday, is now posted on the city's website, www.erie.pa.us

The list includes names of people delinquent on their garbage bills, the billing address, and the amounts owed.

This really ticks me off because they have raised our garbage bills in Erie simply because some people literally won't pay their garbage bills.

Is there a protest or are these people just mooching?

According to the news and from what I can see from scanning through the list, it appears that it is mainly landlords who have little to no intention of paying their garbage bills and don't care if there is a small lien on the property because they don't plan on selling. I checked out some of the addresses that are near where I live and work and everyone I have noticed that shows up on the list so far is a rental.
