Future development? I drive that stretch once a month and see a monster warehouse each time that wasn't there before...

There at least used to be a sort of hippie belt in those corners of Berks and Lehigh counties, the area roughly bounded by Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Kutztown, and Emmaus - maybe not quite good enough land for the Amish, and not quite developed other than right along the interstate. Maybe they talk more about this area in the Lehigh Valley sub-forum.

I see Lehigh valley housing price gets higher — more people will move to that area still short drive from LV.

The Hamburg area has many beautiful homes that are far cheaper in both buying proce and taxes than the LV. Personally, if I were to work down that way, I'd live in the area as well. No sense if spending what you don't have to. (Solely my opinion)

LV has some good schools. And closer to nyc. So price is higher.
