Senator Toomey finally congratulated Biden for his win, joining the very few other Republican Senators that have done so.

So for the next couple of years before he retires, is it any indication if Senator Toomey be more willing to work with Biden and Democrats probably joining Romney, Susan Collins and Murkowski, or given his history, will he be more likely to be sided with core GOP senators like John Cornyn on voting to block Biden?

Toomey already announced his retirement from the Senate and says he won't run for Governor. That means he's going into back into the private sector, either back into investment banking or as a consultant/lobbyist.

He has to distance himself from Trump in order to make the really big bucks and not be ostracized completely on Wall Street or in DC.

That said, he will probably still vote with McConnell along party lines when needed. Toomey really is pro-life, although he has faced sharp criticism from 2A groups for being in favor of Red Flag laws.

Toomey is a slight to the right moderate Republican and I see him working with Biden to be honest.

Biden really wants to defuse partisan politics, and reach across party lines to broker policy that benefits all Americans and I think Toomey will be on board.

I think what you're seeing is that it's abundantly obvious to anyone with a functioning brain that Biden won. Unfortunately, that excludes a large swath of the Republican base, so any Republican planning on running for office again needs to indulge their delusions until their Jim Jones actually concedes or else face the mouthbreathing mob in their next primary. Anyone not planning to run for office again is free to acknowledge the obvious. I don't think that's necessarily a sign that Toomey is moderating and will be more willing to compromise on Republican principles, although he's never been a super hard right extremist, either.

Toomey is Rhode Island's 3rd senator.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Biden offers him a Cabinet position. That would leave the Pennsylvania governor to pick his replacement.

Toomey is out of politics. He wants to go back into the private sector where he can make some serious money.

^^ And? ...that has nothing to do with with whether he's offered a Cabinet position....which may or may not happen.

But there's no correlation established between the quote you responded to, and what you replied.
