Hello!

I'm currently living on Long Island in New York and am considering a move to Lancaster County, PA. Since I'm no where near retirement, I'd need to find work in order to make a move. I currently work for a non-profit organization as an office/project manager & grant writer (it's a small nonprofit!) I'd love to find similar work as I love my job - I just can't afford to live here anymore and I don't really like living here. I've checked out the Nature Conservancy's Harrisburg location, but there weren't any full time, non-seasonal jobs listed for me - though I'll keep checking back. Does anyone know of other small educational or environmental non-profits that are or will be hiring?

Thanks!

Tons of non-profits in the area of Lancaster, Harrisburg and York. Try the county parks websites, the performing arts web sites and private schools (there are scads of them in the Chester/Lancaster & Harrisburg area). The colleges and hospitals are also hot spots for non-profit grant writers. The Lincoln Intermediate Units (educate & services for special students). Try the Chesapeake Watershed. Historical museums. Red Cross, Y's, SPCA's etc. There is something called the "Trail of History" that encompasses a bunch of these venues under one umbrella.

Teachbeach, thanks for the information. I'll check into these. I'm hoping to find something soon so that I can get off Long Island!
