It's a quaint little coal town like all of the other little coal towns out there... cute, but probably dying a slow death like all of the other coal towns out there. I know... I lived in Shenandoah. The coal region has its own type of "cool" but it certainly isn't a place where you can get ahead. The only thing that will resurrect the coal region is a gigantic influx of new business... hopefully that's in the works.

It is dying like many of its neighbors but I think that the most of the really bad times are over. I hope better times are to come.

I've never been there but wouldn't say no to taking a drive through it if I was in the area. I've always had an affection for Coal Country.

Honestly I've never heard of a lot of places in PA. There's just so damn many towns and Tremont is one of them.
