I was just curious to take a poll to see where our state's newest and freshest faces and friends are arriving here from. It would be interesting to notice trends in the results of the poll! In any event, welcome to PA!

Welcome to the area! I live just outside of the city, so feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

I moved up here from Florida last fall. Love it so far! It's great to not sweat like a dog just walking outside to get the mail.

We will arrive in Pa. around June 10.We bought a house near Doylestown,in Buckingham Township. We loved the area, and after all my research to find the best area to commute to Newark, and best schools for our 3 kids, that's where we ended up.We are coming from Wisconsin, where we have lived our entire lives.Looking forward to new friends, new possibilities, and a better commute for my husband.[that may seem strange to some]I am now trying to talk my sister into moving to Pa.I think they might enjoy NEPA better than where we are. They would love a small town area, have about $150,000-$200,00 to buy a house. They love nature and hiking and my sister would need a job.She has been working in a clinic doing medical records.Would anyone have any suggestions as to good communities to come and look at? They will take a drive out in July to look around. Also would be nice to only be acouple hours away from us in Bucks.I'm not sure of the distances yet.Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and thank you to all who had advise and kind words to say in my search for the best place to live!

Smile TN to NEPA

My wife, 3-year-old daughter and I will be moving to the Scranton/Wilkes-barre area the first week of August. I currently live in a small (4,000 people), rural town in middle TN. I will be attending College Misericordia in the fall. I am not sure where we will be living exactly as my wife is currently looking for employment. I enjoy this forum. I check it every day. I don't post often but that will change now that I know that I am definitely moving to the area. I will be asking more and more questions as the time draws nearer for my move. I will try to sift through all of the already posted information for answers to my questions. I would like to thank you Paul for your helpful and welcomed attitude.
