What is the appeal of a tudor home? I hear old world charm. Is there more to it. I have one and am trying to think of things I can do to prepare it for sale.

Emphasize the wood floors and wood paneling. Rugs, no carpet. Built in wood bookcases. Spruce up the gardens/ shrubs and make sure the mature trees are in good shape. Clean the stonework and tiles. Clean the leaded glass windows. Thats assuming its the real deal and not a new knockoff.

What attracted you to the home when you bought it? Similar things may appeal to other people.

Default Tudor in Drexel Hill!!!!

Attended an "Open House" today. The home had millworking that was amazing. New Kitchen, pocket doors, 5-6 Bedrooms, a stylish mudroom (Over elaborate), and a deck and parking for 4 cars or more. House is about 91 years old. This home when the market was healthy, even with it being on the Corner of Corner and Corner, which has some healthy traffic flow especially on Sunday, would have sold for $369K or more -- now $289K -- if only I could go "Back to the Future". Astounding deals out there its like the clearance before the start back up stage.

Drexel Hill really does have some amazing older homes. The ones near UDHS are quite nice.
