Just curious ..... what did you end up doing? I also agree with the poster about Niceville being a good choice. Hope you didn't decide on Tampa. It is very congested in that entire area.

My husband might be transferring us to Ft Walton/Panama City Area by the end of the year. We have a 16 yr old and 8 yr old so schools are important. I work from home so I would like to keep my husband's commute down. What smaller towns would you recommend? I see Niceville, but what about Lynn Haven? Any other suggestions for a young family?

After originally planning on retiring to the Central Florida area we love Destin/PCB and are more and more leaning towards making a move there instead.How hard is it to find home owners insurance and how costly is it? Is it cheaper in areas like Crestview, Lynn Haven, Niceville etc.
