W/o some specific identifying info to go on, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Do you have a name, branch of service he was in (if he was in the svc), town, family members' names, friends etc who might be able to have some info on your parent - ? - he may not even live in IN anymore (we left our home state many years ago) but perhaps family members might still live there but some specific info is needed (any old letters etc - ?).
Thank you for such a quick response. You're right it is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I know my birth father, he was married to my mom & passed away shortly before my 2nd birthday. However, before I was born my dad was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany in 1970. He was there for something like a yr. & a half. He met a woman (to my understanding a local woman), whom he ended up getting pregnant. I don't know if the child is a male or female. Honestly, I know very little of the other woman & have tried to ask my family, but it's been a dead end. I can tell you this: He was with the 4th bn. 64th armor apo u.s. army.
Hi,
if you tell me your fathers name, I could add your searchtext in a german internet community, especially in groups from Aschaffenburg. Maybe someone is searchin for the birthfather, will ask the mother and she will remember this name. It´s worth a try. You can send me his name by direct message if you don´t like to make it public.
