Has anyone here through the reconnection of family have ever gone through a DNA test? Wondering what it entails, cost, ect. Thanks.

Yes; there are different ways to do it & prices depending on what you need. If you need it to be legal in a court of law; you go to a place where they take swabs & pictures- cost was more for this. The charge is also different depending on how many people are tested & relationship.
For DNA testing to help you find unknown family members, you have to have someone to compare to.
If they are unlikely to have sought testing, say from an interest in genealogy, you probably will not find any matches. But genealogy is a popular hobby, so the possibility is there.
Thanks for the responses!!! I also found a place called DDC which stands for DNA Diagnostic Center. The place is reputable and is often used on the Dr. Phil show. They have a 99.9 success rate and they will provide legal notarization after the testing is complete.
