Hi,
My name is Pamela. I am doing a family search for my tree. My grandmother seem's to be a big mystery. Her maiden name is Rena Sodan and she married my grandfather George Zeininger in Hancock, NY I believe. She didn't really talk of her family to my Dad so I have no clue where to look. I don't know who her parent's are or if she has sibling's. If anyone know's any info on her could you please email me at pcurry001@hvc.rr.com . Thank You

I found one rena f sodan, originally from NJ in the 1910 census. Is this too early?

She would have been born in 1895 and about 15 in 1910

From looking for a George Zeininger, one pops up in Hancock born about 1913, so it looks like I do not have the right Rena.

Hmm... I will keep looking.

Interesting developments.

Think of Rena as a nickname... could be Irene?
Look up your grandmothers death certificate and it should list her birthplace.

One Ancestry I found an Irene in
Irene Soden Baltimore Ward 14, Baltimore (Independent City), Maryland
Irene Sodon Elizabeth City Ward 10, Union, New Jersey
Irene Loden Carbondale Ward 2, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania

Now don't pass off the last name misspellings, transcriptions ar enot always correct. I advise getting the birthplace first, then going back to each of these 1920 census records and reviewing each carefully. : )

If you cannot get hers, ask for your grandfathers. It should still list her. He is listed on Ancestry as well so you can grab his SS and ask the county clerk for the info.
