I am so excited right now. If it were not for this web site I would not of found the Mayer family for my uncle. Found lots and lots of family we have wondered about for so long. Still trying to find two sisters though: Patty Scheland and Rose O'Castle. But we are well on our way. Apparently Rose lives in Porta Rico. Patty is believed to be in the Newark area. Husbands name Bobby.
Great news! Are Patty and Rose the former Eleanor and Gloria? (After I dm-ed you all those Eleanors, lol!)
Didn't find any Patty/Patricia or Bobby/Robert Scheland in NJ, but Patricia and Robert both come up in Allentown PA, although not at same addresses (possibly divorced?).

Hi all, the Eleanor that my uncle was remembering was an aunt who was close in age. His oldest sister is Rose. We know that Rose lives out of the states. We got cousins like I stated, looking to reach Patti Ann. I think the Patty in PA, was his mother. Who is deceased. There is a Gloria AND a Mary Elizabeth or Mary Ellen who were adopted out at the same time by a family in Hoboken. No known info on them. But we are hopeful. Look at the information this sight has helped me acquire in just 48 hours. All because I was inspired by another story I read here, to put my uncle's family's name out there. We have more information then we ever got in many many years. My uncle hasn't seen his family in over 40 years. I hope our story inspires someone else also. Just do what the others ask.(The ones at this sight) Get any info you can. Even a little little bit helps. It helped us. God Bless you all, especially you at City Data!!
Congratulations!!!! That's wonderful news!!!! All I can say is 'Man alive, have I got goosebumps now!!!!!'.
Good luck in finding the rest of your family. It's so heartwarming to see how this wonderful community of ours here at CD can come together, pool their resources and make a true difference in someones life. All through the act of kindness, compassion & understanding. Hats Off to those who've helped Haydens Mum and her family reunite!!!!
God Bless you all!!
