I haven't, but the immediate problem I see is how you get the money back if your child is unable (or choose not) to go to the college to which you've prepaid the tuition.

seems like a very logical choice, and i think attending CC while working will teach personal responsibility that sending kids off to 100% paid for college does not.

also what a great deal here , in nj, if you get a 3.5 GPA in high school, 2 years of Community college is paid for by a program called STARS (not sure of the full details but it seems quite legit--need to maintain a decent GPA in CC also).
