I never heard of this before today on the radio. Would any of you actually lone these people money? I doubt I would but it is certainly different.

I've heard a similar of not the same article in NPR news.

The premise is that it's a gamble of an investment. Some can default and you'd not get the money you loaned. Some people do pay as their intent like a business grows--so you get paid in your investment.

There are similar programs in foreign countries called micro-loans.
