you would have to charge a million bucks at 5% to see 50k . that is 250k in charges a year at 5% .
perhaps you did , perhaps you didn't but without the proof i have to file it under not to likely unless it was operating a business .
What proof do you need? I have no need to embellish on a message board. It was all personal charges and some outside of the box thinking. I also said over 4 years with that 6 month period being the peak. Please read properly before you pass judgment.
well if you wanted to post the yearly spending statement totals that show a million dollars in charges in total that would work , other wise it sounds to out of bounds to be believable on personal credit cards . not saying you didn't do it , just saying it is to hard to believe .
it is like i was asked to post my stock trading statement because just dabbling in fun trading i had 92k in gains ytd . they insisted my losses had to be high . i posted the statement showing 800 bucks in losers and a net gain of 92k .
so yeah ,if you want people to believe something that looks a bit of a tall tale you need to prove it if you want anyone to believe it. if you don't care if they do than don't .
From what I see, Zero fee for balance transfers is mostly offered with new card accounts. I used to get offers in the mail for existing cards, but for a few years now, the offers have a 1 to 5% fee. It's been a while since I saw the 1%. About a year ago, one card, that I'd not used in a while, offered a year of zero interest on purchases. I did accumulate a balance on that card, but I don't remember if it included transfers. It will be paid off this month cus it's the end of the 0%.

Why is it hard to believe something you've never tried? You can cycle your entire credit line every single day and banks won't bat an eyelash other than the occasional fraud alert that you can easily clear with a phone call or response on their app.
I cycled $10k per day 6-days a week buying gift cards (not always that regimented every week, but you get the idea). I didn't actually profit the full 5% because of the cost of the cards and the expense for unloading them. You must take me for a crazy person to post personal information on the internet - and very easily you could still come back and call it fabricated if I redacted things. I won't be able to convince you, so you can either believe it or move on.
We use a travel rewards card and pay it off every month. We get double points on every purchase, but can only spend the points on travel related expenses. There is a $59. annual fee.
We aren’t big spenders, but we get a few free hotel rooms and the occasional airline ticket every year.

It seems unlikely generally speaking even given the rest of the commentary posted in the rest of the thread. The card companies do pay attention to and try to identify manufactured spend and shut it down. One would think a 10k a week might put you in the radar especially given a lack of diversity in merchant/merchant codes
I always like to say 'You can either use credit cards for the financial tool they are or be the tool that gets used by credit cards'. Has a nice ring to it and I know many Ramseyites are a fan of snappy sayings.
Very nice. Very true.
