It's like $5-6 bucks for your score on each one, but the whole report itself is free and it's very valuable if you want to know what lines of credit you have open or outstanding loans (if any). It will also show you if you have activity on there that you don't recognize. www.annualcreditreport.com is definetly where you want to go.

They all suck. Yes, I've used them all.

Myfico.com is the CLOSEST you will get to you score. And it will not be your "real" score, because your "real" score will be determined by whomever is pulling your score along with whatever OTHER criteria they add to it.

But MYFICO will be pretty darn close.

You don't need to know your credit score if you're just looking to make sure that things are properly reporting and no one has stolen your identity.

It's not the most precise monitoring (there are pay services for this) but at least you can see if your ID has been hijacked/any improper reporting.
you know, i never thought of doing it that way, I always just did all three at once. I'll have to try it that way next year.

The free credit report craze is kind of nuts, I see their ads all over the place.

They advertise on ebay, on aol, I see them everywhere. Unless you're borrowing alot of money, whats the big deal about knowing exactly what your score is. Above a certain number, it doesnt really matter what it is. Like if you're getting a mortgage and your score is over 720 or 740 or whatever the upper tier is.

Then the bureaus all do different formulas....seems like a big money maker for them.

Some of the sites and ads just scream, SCAM....I don't know, I don't get it.
