My great uncle is this guy. He lives in a townhouse he bought back in the 80's. He lives an extremely frugal lifestyle opting to sit in his living room watching TV with the lights off.

He has over 1million in savings at 72 despite never really earning a high wage. I wouldn't say I'm jealous though, his existence is pretty sad. He never had kids and never had a wife. He doesn't come to Christmas because he believes it's a capitalistic holiday. Money isn't everything as they say.

Ironically our boat which is 1/3 owned by him is named "Live Rich". My grandpa named it that because he would say "you either could die rich or you could live rich". My uncle certainly prefers to die rich.
