Has anyone used a credit repair service or individual to help clean up discrepencies and disputes on their credit reports, and had positive results??

Any advice???

Thanks,

They are fraud, file phony disputes, and the bad stuff comes back.

You can get a free report at www.annualcreditreport.com and dispute real errors yourself.

Most negative items drop in 7 years. Bankruptcies in 10.

As the bad stuff ages, scores improve.

Don't get fleeced.

I havent used one but Lexington Law looks like a decent one.
They charge 99$ Set-Up then different plans you pay monthly.
Of course you could buy a book that instructs how to do it yourself.

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM !!!

Do not ever pay anyone to fix your credit. No one but no one not even you can remove bad credit marks. If you do your homework you can improve your credit yourself and it is free.

In this economic depression the scammer spammers are out in force all with one thing in common......they want your money.

Like the poster above said, go to that annual credit site they showed you. Every one gets one free peak at their credit per year. On this report you have the option to dispute anything on it you dont feel is yours or that you feel is wrong. If it is a legit bad mark it is not removable no way no how. Your complaint takes less then 2 weeks from investigation to deletion.
