9/10 and 9/24?

I get paid every other Thursday and since the last check of the month is kind of early and not really close to the 1st of October I figured it would make sense to pay the rent for October out of the check I get on 10/7. And can both checks in September for me. Would anyone do the same?

Not if you have the money. If you don't then you can't, just be ready for a late fee, if any.

I didn't think receiving the rent check on the 7th was that big of a deal for a tenant who pays on time and has been for 3 years. I think overtime a landlord may accept payments from their good on time paying tenants a little late when they are used to not having to contact them for rent.

It may not be a big deal, and what you say about the landlord may be true but then again it may not be. It depends on the business sense of the owner.

Why have you created two threads on exactly the same subject? And why don't you just ask your landlord?

Would you feel the same way if your employer delayed your check to the next Thursday since their customers were paying late because of when they got their money?

The only reason I'm thinking about doing is because their is a weekend between the 1st and the 4th, then after that I can mail the rent on the 5th and they get it on the 6th and my check is delivered on the 7th.

I've always thought that if a payment is due on the 1st of the month, I had better plan on it.

Why should the landlord wait for their money?

Well in my case they know it's coming and know I'm a tenant they don't have to worry about. As long as they don't have to contact you then you should have no problem. If someone is paying rent on time all the time what is going to make them wonder where my rent check is by the 5th?

But you know what I just thought about something-lol If I do paid the rent out of the 9/24/09 check I can do what I want to do for the November Rent becvause my checks in October is scheduled for 10/7 and 10/21 which means that the rent for November wouldn't be considered late because the first check in November is on 11/5. So I think I will just wait until October to have BOTH checks to myself.
