I don't think this is a bad thing, and I don't/wouldn't promote or support the needless killing of animals, so don't take this the wrong way. But the market for these things is so tiny and our lawmakers have such huge problems to be working on right now, I can't help but think that their time could be better spent dealing with those other things right now, and they should get to things like this later, when our nation isn't spiraling down the drain.

Good thing indeed.
Too many people abuse animals to make a dumb video.
It's a good start to stop it I hope.

It's to bad people are this mean and cruel, that we would even have to make a law. There are many things to take care of in our country, but maybe, catching this while it's small it won't be a problem again.

But it's not a small problem. And these videos are not exclusive to small animals.

There are advocates, such as certain hunting groups, who believe they are within their rights to produce these videos as a teaching element. Or at least that's their excuse. The videos are not just used for sexual perverts, but for certain hunter's groups which film and photograph 'hunting' expeditions wherein an animal is attacked & killed by dogs. These videos are all over You Tube & the internet.

Bravo to President Obama for signing this bill.

Sometimes , when I read about crimes like these, I really do wish public whipping with a bullwhip were still allowed 'cause that's all people that do these things to animals deserve.

I didn't even know that existed, that's horrible! Who would do that? People are really sick!! The only bad thing I see is the lenient penalty these monsters get for what they do...they should all get life sentences at least. What they really deserve is to have the same done to them.

Nice way to spin crushing cruelty to legal hunting methods. Dogs are naturally predators; and no, I am addressing legal hunting specifically, not dog fighting, so don't try to spin again.

People who purposely make videos designed to appeal to psychopaths who enjoy suffering shouldn't be allowed to live. Hunting food is natural for many species of animals, but to purposely set up a cruel attack is the height of immorality. Why can't all states have laws like Wyoming's where an act of this nature is a felony? Maybe someday we can force other countries to bow to decency as well.

May the people who make these videos and those who delight in watching them all burn in Hell for eternity.
