I had a blind ferret who had a ferret guide her around the house. Watched her guide Nikki up the ramp to our bed, running right and left squeaking instructions. After Ginny had guided her a few times Nikki had the route down. Nikki loved sleeping on our bed and was there often when we slept.

A ferret owner and lover here, but sleeping with a ferret? I'm surprised you got any sleep at all! Plus, I'd be afraid of smashing one in my sleep.
I had my Daisy who always slept on my pillow with me. The only ferret we had to watch was Theodora, she would come up and bite and walk away, even the dog had to watch her. She did not want to play with us, she just enjoyed a quick bite, never broke the skin. I had ferrets who slept at my feet. Nikki loved being between us, she was small and frail but loved to cuddle.
Our ferrets were given free range to play or sleep when and where they wanted so they usually slept when we did.
