yada yada yada Keep trying to be Politically Correct..We could go on and on about this.. but it seems to be you think just because of onetime incident that he should be punished for the rest of his life and this is wrong! NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED WEATHER OR NOT HE SHOT THE DOG BECAUSE OF IT BEING SICK OR WHETHER HE CUT THE DOGS THROAT AND STRUNG HIM IN A TREE. It doesn't matter it was the son's doing, NOT HIS FATHER and he was PUNISHED for it! If he did it again then I would have cause to maybe think about not liking Huckabee, but I don't and this is my opinion.,.you are entitled to your opinion and if you don't like someone because of something someone else done then thats your purgative!! Who do you like in the runnings?
In my other opinion they are all worthless crooks! But we don't have a choice but to choose one of them and we have to make sure we choose the right one because this country is falling apart. If you would open your eyes you would see NOBODY IS PERFECT NOT EVEN YOU!
they are predators and society deserves protection from predators. there are more decent people out there than vick /huckabee kid types.
And, thank GOD you're here to make people on an internet forum aware of this "predator". And, of course, the "predator once removed" as it pertains to the political career of this person's father.
It just goes to show how downright silly all of this is. That people actually think that THIS is what's important?
Ironic that I see this situation. A guy who ran for sheriff here had a wayward son as well. The son turned out to be a major drug dealer and a large dog fighting operation. Dad had lived next door to the son but claimed to know nothing. Dad also was a business partner of the son. Honestly, I can seperate the drug dealing from the family; some kids just go wrong. However, I cannot separate the torture of an animal or human from the parent. I just think it's a character/value that is taught by the parent that animals feel pain and it is wrong to inflict pain for your entertainment.
I am going to agree with the statement that children are a reflection of their parents and upbringing. It's a fact people.
Some may not be able to swallow that fact. Truth hurts sometimes.
I wonder how many of the defenders have *most likely* had serious issues with their own kids or maybe even themselves...or would even admit it?
"Apple doesn't fall far from the tree"?....
And I will also agree with what lilypad stated: This is more of a psychological issue, which raises also genetic questions. Any child who exhibits cruelty toward animals is maladjusted and warrants immediate help, as it can portend criminal issues in the future. It is nothing to be taken lightly.
It's totally a psychological issue. People who demonstrate animal cruelty, thoughts or behaviors I would think have serious psychological issues. Enough said.
*I'm not voting for Huckabee, so I have no comment as to whether this would sway my vote one way or another.*
Moderator: I think we are straying off the topic of pets and into the political and psychological arena. Not sure this is the correct forum for deciding if Huckabee should be president based on his son's actions? Let's close this one and return to our regular programming.
