It's terribly hot outside and I'm craving some cold soup. I have no idea what places might serve gazpacho. Anyone know where to go for good chilled soup?

I don't know if the soup's good as I haven't tried it, but there's a deli in the farmer's market in Chestut Hill on Germantown Ave that has a sign saying they serve it. Everything I've had there so far has been fab.

There is a place in the Reading Terminal that sells gazpacho, I think its the Mediterranean place, they also got a bean soup that's real nice, and they give you a piece of outstanding bread with the soup.

Try Amada in Olde City. It will be the real thing.

Amada is good. Bar Ferdinand is an acceptable substitute. There used to be a Spanish restaurant around 2nd & South but i guess they closed?

If you're in the western suburbs, the SuperFresh in Gladwyne sells gazpacho. It's probably not the quality you'll find in a good Spanish restaurant, but it's cheap, convenient and tasty. Maybe other branches sell it too, although the Gladwyne store, small though it is, tends to have more gourmet-type food items, for obvious reasons.
