"ZBA spokesman Paul Chrystie said the city panel “believes it made the correct legal decision” but “respects the judge’s ruling.”

Haha, right. What a bunch of hacks.

Default THIS would've been nice for the city/region.

City needs jobs for the blue collar working class, that's pays living wages. Not dozens of these Dollar Tree & fast-food joints opening up. This would've fit well into the Far Northeast or maybe in the Far Southwest areas of Philadelphia. At least five to seven of these built in a ten to fifteen year period, bringing four to six thousand good paying jobs along with them.

It would rapidly change the " Poorest Big City " in America " moniker.

China’s KBP Bio is coming to America, with $76M A round and GSK vet taking the helm in Philly

Quote:
Over the past 5 years KBP Biosciences has been steadily growing up its pipeline of new drugs from its base in China. But this morning the biotech company is unveiling a dramatic change of scene, with plans to set up a global headquarters in Philadelphia while taking the wraps off a $76 million venture round that will give its new American CEO the cash to make a splash at the FDA.

The last local city company that had big connections to the auto industry was Budd. They, as ThyssenKrupp Budd, ceased to exist in 2014.

All the foreign car makers(an example is in your article) in the country who built plants mostly in the south went there, in part, because of huge tax breaks/ incentives.

Rather than what you suggest what I would like to see is the working class population rebuild our infrastructure. There's years worth of work that needs to be done.

And nowhere near the money we need to do all the work.

That's the crying shame.

The buffoon in the White House would rather request billions to build a more extensive wall system on our southern border which won't keep lots of people out or stem the flow of drugs.

How Fishtown could get stuck with a lemon of a car dealership | Inga Saffron

This makes me want to throw up.

Also to beat the paywall: Click Control A (select all), then Control C (copy) and paste the article into word. Works everytime, just have to be quick.

Dunno. I find it a bit odd that a Pulitzer Prize winner would waste time writing about this. I don't like this project either but why doesn't she expand her horizons and talk about some of the projects that may revive parts of western W. Philly?
