NYC is bigger, and as a result of its size, has more to offer. That includes more more of the good, the bad, and the ugly alike. NYC does not offer me much allure, but I can certainly understand why people flock to it.

The one thing I do envy is the better pizza, bagels, and deli.

Size isn't everything.
But synergystic critical mass is a real thing. Especially when talking about cities. And New York has the critical mass to create the type of energy and centrality that is really only found in global megacities. It's not just about being able to walk to a restaurant or a museum.

This makes no sense whatsoever. Philadelphia's no picnic either, as far as traffic is concerned, and Washington is the best museum city in this country, whether you want to admit it or not.

Wha??? New York's public transportation isn't perfect, sure, but neither is Philly's. There's nothing Philadelphia has, that New York doesn't as far as public transportation goes. And I'd love to see proof of the bolded part.

Pure subjectivism.

Again to each his own. Philadelphia's good, but I like Washington very much as well.

Whatisthisidonteven

I think the mods should move this abortion of a thread into the city v. city section. At least there it could attract some equally crazy NYC homers and become entertaining to follow.

Then the people on that forum would recognize that this is a "no longer a member" poster who has been reincarnated with a 'clever' name.

Nope, I'm a new member. I've never posted anything before joining. I have read through the threads and feel like Philly isn't getting the recognition it deserves. Sorry to come across as obnoxious, I just don't like New Yorkers and Chicagoans boasting all over the place and then being condescending to Philly (there are some posts calling this city "ghetto" and "abandoned")

Anyone who thinks so has never been here... no reason to get worked up about it
