I live in Philadelphia and decided to try the direct flight USAir offers to Dublin. I usually fly Aer Lingus out of JFK. I was wondering if anyone flies this route often and has some experience they wouldn't mind sharing. Here's to hoping for responses that relay uneventful and pleasant flights.

The flight used to go all the time but with economic problems in the US and Ireland now the flight just goes some weeks.
US Airways has more frequent service to London, Manchester and Glasgow in the UK and some people fly there and switch for Dublin. It all depends on the schedule and the fare.
There are about 21 trans-Atlantic non-stops from Philadelphia on US Airways, British Airways and Lufthansa.

I fly US Airways between Manchester and Philly 1-2 a year for the last 7 years and only ever had one complaint (the on-demand entertainment for ONLY our chairs were broken and the flight was full which really, was just bad luck). My brother and sister in law take the same flight once a year for the last 6 years and never had any complaints. My brother has coeliac disease and they've always been great about providing a gluten free meal. The convenience of flying in and out of Philly instead of NYC (my family live in the Philly suburbs) is well worth it.

Huh !! Where are you getting that information? PHL-DUB-PHL is Daily - Year Round and frequently Full in summer. The flight varies from a 757 to a 767.

Default My mistake

My mistake. My apologies. I believed something I read on an on-line airline enthusiasts forum. They said the service had been cut back. I should have double-checked.
