Hello,

Does anybody know if cars will be towed if parked at Ivy Ridge shopping center parking lot for too long (6-9 hours)?

I'm looking to move to Philly for work reasons. Currently I'm looking at a place near Ivy Ridge shopping center and there are buses there that can take me to Center City. I was wondering if it will be okay to leave my car there at the parking lot for the day. Do you think it will be towed if I park there too long?

Many thanks!!!

Well, first, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that if you live reasonably close to Ivy Ridge, you also live close to Ridge Avenue. If it's possible to walk down to Ridge, you can just do that and catch the bus there. That way there's a 0% chance you'll be towed.

But I'll also mention that I live near the Andorra shopping center, and it's chock-full of commuters every day despite signs that claim commuter parking will be punished by towing. This has worked to my advantage once or twice, so I'm not complaining -- I'm just sayin', if you MUST drive, and if you're SUPER-worried about getting towed, just head up Ridge for about four or five minutes to get to Andorra. From there, you can catch the 9 or 27 or whatever down to Center City.

Or just park on a side street for the day.

The Ivy Ridge stop on the Norristown line is closeby too, if you don't mind paying almost $5.00 for a one way trip to Center City.
