Don't worry, Manayunk isn't close to any dangerous neighborhoods.

Summerm...NoLibs is safe if you are in the 400K section with a garage and a 1 BR condo (golden retriever?). Powelton Village is dangerous...and if you mean that its only dangerous "a few blocks away" from the Powelton Village that you know, than you are high. Someone was robbed at gunpoint during Sandy at 15th & Moore (Newbold). University City is safe in doses; go there on a summer night and try to watch a movie at The Bridge or go bowling; then get back to me.

Again, same discussion as always...you guys have no clue what safe meant in the city of Philadelphia.

Packer Park is safe. Pennsport is safe. East Passyunk and Passyunk Square are safe. Fitler Square is safe.

Safe in Philly: I can go out anytime, day or night with a 95% probability that I will not get assaulted, robbed, or car jacked. In addition, I will not be witness to a fight, have to deal with trashy people living off assistance or be near a dirty take-out place, drug traffic or a nuisance bar.

Don't worry, even with the warzone that is North Philly, Atlanta still ranks quite a bit higher in crime rate.

But seriously, stay out of North Philly and Camden. They don't play.

I think what you mean to say is safe in Philly is where you can go out anytime, day or night, and 95% of the people around you are white.

So what? You're not saying anything I don't already know. And what you do, or should, know is when people talk about North Philly, they are thinking more along the lines of the Badlands. The nice parts of North Philly get lumped with Center City in general speach. Why? Because North Philly's a ****ing war zone.
