Is it apart of Mount Airy? Or is it North Philly?

I grew up on Stenton Avenue in East Mt. Airy. But it starts in Chestnut Hill and goes to North Philly. I think though when most people talk about it they mean Mt. Airy.

That area is West Oak Lane to Chestnut Hill. The L Bus rides that route. To me, I feel like its pretty city suburban if you feel me. Its mostly families but its nothing like North Philly or Center City.

I think the OP is asking about the Stenton neighborhood.

To the OP, Stenton is not Mt. Airy, it is a separate neighborhood. It's considered to be a part of Upper North Philadelphia or the Oak Lane District, but it's not a bad section of the city and is mostly a middle class African American neighborhood.

As I said, I grew up on Stenton Avenue. Left there when i was 22 and in all that time (and since) I have never heard of the "Stenton" neighborhood.

I saw a nice home in the area and it looks like mount airy. Was it formally its own neighborhood, but now looped in to East Mount Airy?

Hey Summersm343 what happened to the foot traffic pics you said you would post for University City?

I think a lot of people consider Stenton Ave to be where East Mt. Airy ends, but there are some who would extend Mt. Airy beyond there. The neighborhood called Stenton on the posted map I've almost always heard referred to as Cedarbrook, but neighborhood names can be pretty fluid. Regardless, it's a pretty solidly working class, mostly black neighborhood, some shopping on the strips but not much in the way of nightlife.
