Does the construction on 95 **** you off. Anyone know when they'll be done? The have construction going on from Cottman, Girard, and like somewhere near the airport. The lanes are so tight it's like an accident waiting to happen.

haha you think it's ever going to end? how sweet and naive.
The girard project will be over in less than a year now I believe, the Cottman project... about a year after that. But as each project ends, more are right behind it in the pipeline. I believe the last I heard the stretch of 95 that runs through Philly will be continuously under construction until 2024.
no sense in getting annoyed however, it needs to be done, best to just get used to it.
on the bright side, upcoming projects may less directly affect your own personal commute.

95 has been under construction most of the years I have lived in this area but occasionally they take a year off. When everything has been worked on they go back and start all over again. I know it's popular to complain about transportation departments all over the US but Penndot is really in a class by itself.

Always hated driving 95 during rush hour. Even worse with construction going on. Several years ago, I started taking the regional rail line to center city and it's a much better commute when I have to be downtown. No more road rage in the morning LOL.

Yes I drive it everyday and have to leave earlier because of this construction.

I know it needs to be done but the current through patterns are really dangerous. And in the rain... just un-safe at any speed. I can't wait until this phase is over as I feel it was poorly planned.
