Im 25 F, single, looking to move to Philly. Obviously looking for the safest area to move too. I have a few neighborhoods in mind. Can anyone rate them for me. Out of my list, which one would be the top places to look for an apartment. (1- Best place, 8- least place to live)

In Philadelphia parking is a major consideration if you use a car. On the other hand if you depend on public transportation that also impacts where you live. Naturally if you commute to work or school that is another factor to consider.

University City is a place you should check out as well. It gets a bad rep because it's so close to West Philly, but if you stay near Penn's campus you'll be quite safe.

Just because no libs has better subway access... aside from that QV has the most active portion of south st, whole foods etc so it'd be above no libs for that.

Your list is strong. My daughter lived in Fishtown with her boyfriend, and says she would not feel safe living alone there...but she grew up in the suburbs lol. Good luck. Queen Village is a great place to live. Manayunk is like a little country of people under 30, but it's just a little cut off from the main part of the city. If you locate in 19147 you will find a ton of young professionals, and you will be within easy striking distance of Center City.
