I'm currently considering a job offer in West Chester, PA (off of Paoli Pike near West Goshen). My husband and I are renting a place in downtown Ambler due to the location of my husband's job.

Will the commute from Ambler to West Chester be completely ridiculous? My job starts at 7am, so I would need to leave rather early. I'm okay doing a 45 minute commute... but will the traffic around 6am be absurd?

Thank you for any advice. My husband and I are both from out of state and are not sure what the traffic patterns around here look like!

if there is no traffic, its totally bearable....I think that early you should be OK. 202 can get messy though as rush hour kicks in. what time would you be heading back to ambler?

I would most likely head home around 3:00.

Thank you so much for your input!

I drive blue bell to malvern daily. In the morning you will be fine. The closer you get to four pm coming home the worse traffic will be. Don't forget about the turnpike slip ramp on rt 29. Fort Washington to 29 will be good then 202 for the rest of your trip. 202 is under construction but traffic does move outside of rush hour.
