Since school is letting out this week, I'm wondering what the curfew is. I always hear kids out late at night like 9:30 -10:00 on a school night playing basketball in the backyard when I'm trying to sleep. I think it's very rude that they're out their playing when I need to be up and ready for work. Do the parents not care that their kids are out that late. Don't they wonder where their kids are at. These kids are between the ages of 5-14. These kids are very disrespectful and they like to ruin other peoples properties. If kids are out pass the curfew, will calling the cops do anything.

I totally agree with you, Philly's curfew needs to stay in affect all year around. We too are so tired of hearing that dam BB bounce in front of our door for no reason, they start @9 am, boucing the ball till their lil friends wake up, then they go bring kids from Pine st, Osage ave, Larchwood ave, cedar ave, Spruce st, pile all up on Delancey st, with the basket ball & then football, then the bigger teens come from all around, start throwing the football, making car alarms go off, hitting windows because they can't throw or catch. They refuse to go 1 dam block to cobbs creek park and do their damage their, NOOOO they like destroying your property. No use in tryn to keep your property up because they all conjugate around here and be disruptive, rude, very disrespectful, nasty. The curfew will force them to go back to their own streets, address and stay home and let them destroy their own property, keep their parents & neighbors awake, bounce the balls to no end, set their car alarms off, keep throwing the ball while their neighbors & parents are driving down the block to unload the groceries or what ever, ect. Then their parents will be singing a different tune. The should be in the house by 8-9 PM 7 days a week That's their parents job, watch their own kids, not our job.Take the horde of kids you woke up, & the ones u bought with you, take them all back to your spot, with your parents & neighbors.
I use to love kids NO DAM MORE! only the little kids from babies till toddlers their innocent of their environment, but the ones who know better, NEED A DAILY CURFEW NOW IN PHILLY!!!

Kids playing is nothing new. Back in the 60s and 70s, it was the normal. I know families who would sit outside till way after midnight back in those days.
I'd rather them playing b-ball then selling drugs or doing something illegal.
