Hi All,

We are a family of 4 including two boys aged 3 years and 3 months – my employer is relocating us for a period of around 12 months starting November this year.

We have had some great advice from this forum on where to live and that seems to have aligned with colleagues from the Philly area and other advice sought, that being said this is our target area:

 Rittenhouse Square/Center City 19107 19109 19102
 Art Museum area-19130
 Fitler Square 19103
 Old City/Society Hill 19106
 Lower University City (maybe)

Within this area I would greatly appreciated any advice in relation to Pre-K childcare – our 3 year old loves (and requires) interaction on a daily basis so we would like to find him a safe, friendly and fun environment.

Does anyone know of good centres in these areas that they could recommend (either for or against)?

Also if you know of good review/search sites that would be helpful as well.

I guess we are expecting to pay from 600-1200 per month but of course if we can find something that isn’t too expensive then all the better. Also we are thinking part time or taking full time but not using all the hours.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello, I don't have any personal experience with any centers in those areas but I can give you a couple of places to search to start you out. These will help you to see what centers are in your area.

These are a couple that I have heard are good, Childrens Village on 8th st and Chesterbrook Academy on Market st.

Also, pick up any MetroKids or any free parenting type magazine and there are always ads in the back for preschool programs.

Good Luck with your search!

Megan
