Correct. He simply made no effort to show anything else. Just an agenda-laden piece rubbish.

He tells everyone that Philly is the most underrated city in America. If it wasn't for the co-op in Manhattan he says he prefers Philly over every other place at this point in his life.

I want to add that I hosted guests from other places who never visited The City Of Brotherly Love and everyone is blown away by how beautiful and vibrant this city is: the architecture, the streetscapes, the history, the cultural amenities, the restaurant scene, etc.
I've had this same experience as well regarding friends of mine, who visited, from the mid-west; they loved it. But, apparently, the negative perceptions, overall, just continue. Sigh. It's so frustrating.

I glad to hear these comments. Im going to try and get friends and relatives to come visit after I move there and I am excited to see how they take to it. I heard about the beer gardens that go up around the area in the summer. That is so awesome because I LOVE beer and have always wanted to live in a place where things like that happen.

Wow, wonder why would anyone on earth (except drug dealers) would want to live in or within 100 miles of this ****?
BTW most of CT except maybe areas around Stamford look as bad.

I've been gone from Philly for a few years now but, after living there for 12+ years one thing I still miss is the friendliness - especially when it comes to your neighbors. I've lived in some places where neighbors will go out of their way to avoid you. I always thought it was a friendly place but looking back on it, it's funny to think of Philly as a bastion of civility.

Afaik, the Independence Beer Garden, between Market and Chestnut, on 6th St, is not closing for the winter.
I have not been by there to verify, though.
