Good news. . .the magic behind chick-fil-a is marinating the chicken in pickle juice. Now you can make your own for a fraction of the cost.

Nah, it's easier buying from them for seven bucks. I prepare Italian, fish, steak and Korean BBQ at home, THAT'S where the real savings are.

It's all, probably, part of the changes coming to the Gallery and nearby at 11th/12th Market/Chestnut. The area is probably going to look quite different in a few years or less.

We're on the same page. Most people reserve such mourning for the passing of loved ones. Not Cosi.

a couple points...

1. it is weird that burger king closed down. That looked like it was a perfect location for that considering everyone who walks around that intersection currently. Its possible the rent went up or the landlord is playing the waiting game with the gallery across the street. It never looked empty.

2. Cosi left because i heard the rent went way up.... sorta sucks that nothing has gone into that space given its long vacancy. Cosi is also having issues in general competing with other fast causal places.

3. The Tacobell is basically at 11& chestnut. it has been open at least 6 months already. It looks nice from the outside so im happy.... even though im not a taco bell fan.. to each their own.

sometimes i have a craving for fast food... not often but i do... its nice to know i can get it near by. So i total understand people's excitement for it when it comes to the city. Too much is not a good thing but hey its a city. If it was all indy businesses and chains based here it just would feel weird to me.

I also get the op interest in philly real estate. any speculation on what is going to replace the burger king. I hope the landlord tears down that ugly small building and build something bigger with retail on the ground floor. A restaurant would be good... i will take a burger king there over a bank anyday though.
