I was amazed that the line was out of the door into the street for some ice cream on a friday night when I went to Franklin Fountain. Was that just a typical friday you think or was that a bunch of tourists in the city? I definitely wasn't expecting to see that many people standing in line for ice cream so just had to ask the question. The ice cream was very I have to say and I can see myself returning on a TUESDAY NIGHT.

I'd be surprised if Franklin Fountain didn't have a line out the door. Yes, that is typical.

So I'm guessing it's typical for a friday night? I just didn't expect that many people to be in the mood for ice cream.

It's typical. Not just tourists. Remember... Old City is actually residential. Lots of people live there. Franklin Fountain is their neighborhood ice cream parlor.

It's summer. Well, not technically. But it has an outstanding rep and has for a few years now. Lots of people know about it, obviously.

I didn't notice the flavor "cookie and cream" on their long list of flavors while standing in line.

That's because FF is an old fashioned ice cream parlor, trying to re-create a simpler, bygone age, where those "flavors" didn't exist.

Really? Must be new. Or people asked for it.
