What's the most colorful street in Philly? By colorful, I mean grand, full of energy, buzzing with excitement, a tourist hot spot.

Philly doesn't do large streets very well. Broad and Market streets are underwhelming. The other large streets (i.e Washington, Spring Garden, Girard, etc.) tend to be either underwhelming or downright ugly. Philly has many attractive streets but they are smaller. I would say the best option is probably walnut street around Rittenhouse Square. Especially Walnut and 18th St.

I still find it unfathomable that they don't do something to the median on Broad Street south of City Hall. Just planting a couple of trees would make a world of difference.

Probably the Ben Franklin Parkway. It is flanked by all the nation's flags and leads up to the steps of the world famous Art Museum. We locals take it for granted because one seldom finds himself/herself there unless headed to Kelly Drive, but it's probably the most "grand" street in our city. Now, historic street is another question all together...

I've driven through the parkway once but I'm yet to tour the area. Will check it out in the Summer. I have many out of town visitors coming in this Summer and I'm hoping Philly does not disappoint them. I also look forward to running up the Rocky steps. I re-watched the Rocky movies in anticipation of my run.

18th and Walnut and much of Walnut. Parts of Sansom,between 15th and 20th. Dilworth Park particularly when there's live music. 2nd St in Old City but not on a weekend night. 2nd St in Northern Liberties.
The Ben Franklin Parkway is nice but lacks pedestrian traffic most of the time.
