Would you turn up your nose at a Super Bowl at the Linc in Philly because it might be cold in February?? It would be fantastic to host it here.
Minneapolis is considerably colder than Philly. Plus it's a considerably less fun city.

Personally I'd love to host the super bowl. Objectively though, I think it's better to have it in a warm, fun city. It certainly helps justify a regular fan attending it. If this year's super bowl was in LA or new Orleans I'd be there. Just stinks that the only two super bowls the eagles have been to in my adult life were in Minnesota and Jacksonville. No thanks and double no thanks.

They should just rotate between LA, Miami, and New Orleans.

I've been to the Twin Cities. Depends on what you consider fun or entertaining. Minneapolis has an outstanding theater scene. They were able to save and restore, to their former glory, more than one old movie palace while Philly couldn't at all in Center City. The restored Met will make up for that.

Anyhow I'm drifting into OT.

I hope I'm wrong and thousands of Bird fans are able to make it, especially to counteract those booing butt-hurt Vikings fans who may be at the game.

#FlyEaglesFly!!!!
lot's more Patriot fans than dog-heads this week in Minneapolis, they seem unfazed by a little cold as they're out celebrating everywhere

Football is a fall sport. It should be played in places where you get a little nip in the air, as you do towards the end of football season in at least half the places where it's played (more if you throw in its Canadian cousin).

Besides, this Kansas Citian would like to see it played at Arrowhead at least once more before that stadium is declared wanting by the Chiefs (something I don't think will happen anytime soon, as the Chiefs love the LOUD fans there).

Football is a fall sport, I was just speaking more from a fan perspective. If I'm gonna drop somewhere around 7 grand to travel somewhere in February, I want to go somewhere nice. A lot of fans feel the same.

Anyway, the super bowl is today! Go Eagles!

To anyone who grew up here, you know the Eagles are more than a sport to us. It brings us all together.

Today would have been Jerome Brown's 52nd Birthday.

What a day for the Eagles to finally "Bring it home for Jerome".

I know Reggie and him would be proud of the team this year..

Eagles fans are the worst throwing full beer cans at Minnesota fans on camera. Show me other fanbases that do that. You should be ashamed.

I LOVE the idea of cold weather Super Bowls. Football is a cold weather sport. I'd love to see a championship game in snow flurries and 0* wind chills, whether it's in Philly, Chicago, Denver, whatever. That's the way football is meant to be played. But, alas, that doesn't fit with the corporate money-making model, so...
