I've been using Redfin and Realtor.com. You can set up notifications on both. Redfin has more detailed information available but may not have all the listings that realtor.com has.

Just bought a house, and redfin was the most useful site for us.

Why don't you just monitor all the sites? As a landlord and active buyer, I look several times a day at the following: zillow, trulia, hotpads, redfin, realtor.com. I wouldn't do notifications bc the algorithms are not advanced and you'll get a lot of nonsense that will frustrate you. Just browse all sites. Literally takes minutes - put in your preferred zip and expand the map from there. You can see exactly what's what.
