Lambertville, NJ is a fun town. I would definitely live there.

What about Ambler? I don't know that town at all, but I hear it's fairly vibrant with a decent bar/social scene. That's only like 15 miles and 20-30 minutes from Doylestown.
Lincoln drive to Mt Pleasant to 309 to 202. It's possible.

I second everyone saying that Doylestown itself is the right play. Philly's northern suburbs are more geared towards families, with Doylestown being the only town I would consider a nightlife hotspot.

When you're fresh out of school, the toughest obstacle will be managing your schedule, especially if your work's start time is 8am (or earlier). Setting my alarm clock everyday for 6am was a rude awakening for me when I was 22. Would you really want to live towards Philly and have to wake up an hour earlier so you can budget time for your commute? And on the flip side, leaving work at 4-5pm and getting home at 6pm is rough too.

Just live in Doylsetown, preferably walking-distance to the bars. I guess Uber makes walkabality less crucial, but I still favor a free walk over a not-free ride.

There's no way that's a better way to go. LOL.

I agree with this. If you can also get to be in walkable or bikeable range of the SEPTA station in Doylestown you'll have a car-free way to get to center city as well.

Pretty much anywhere in Doylestown Boro is going to be walking distance to the bars for any reasonably fit 22 year old. The township stretches into the hinterlands, but the boro is pretty compact, and there are no safety issues there at all, even late at night.

To what end? No potential romantic partner in Philly is going to want to deal with someone in Doylestown.

Did you forget what it's like to be a young adult, fresh out of college?
