Hello all,

I will be a resident at Einstein Philly next year. I really know very little about the city. I am looking for the best place (one bedroom is fine) to live in Philadelphia which will provide easy access to Einstein, and is also affordable, and SAFE. Ideally, I would like to spend roughly 800 dollars a month on rent including utilities. Can anyone reccomend the best areas in Philadelphia to live. I have heard good things about Art Museum, Rittenhouse square, but I am not sure how to commute to einstein. I will have a car as well as parking is free at Einstein. Pleae advice.

Thanks.

Look in Washington Square West in center city for an apt.. Take the Broad Street subway right to Einstein - get on at Walnut Locust - off at Olney - about a 20 minute ride. Give up your car (parking is a problem) and look into PhillyCarShare

If you do prefer to keep your car and drive (and if it's night, I'd advise it), you just drive straight up Broad Street.

Agreed with newmarlig, but will you be rotating at other hospitals as well? I interviewed for peds and they spent a lot of time at St. Christopher's too.
