If the overarching plan is to include mixed-use development in conjunction with a new stadium, then Broad and Lehigh would be a great spot due to transit accessibility, planned developments, and the existing wave of development that has slowly but surely been creeping north.

Now, if we're talking realistic sites, why not demolish the Roundhouse and place the stadium there? In conjunction with a reopened Franklin Square PATCO stop and road diets for 6th, 7th, 8th, and Race, the parcel that the Roundhouse sits on could be a great candidate.
That would be great, but parking would be a major issue. They'd probably have to buy the surface parking lot immediately to the south and build like 30 stories up to house the visitors from the burbs. Most of them have zero desire to take public transportation to games.

Essington or Eastwick might have some more possible available land.

Is the old Kmart off Baltimore Pike too small?

Is there a lot of unused space at the Navy Yard?

Rebuffed from Penn’s Landing plan, Sixers may begin hunt for new home elsewhere in Philly

Pretty good write up about the different possible locations. I had not really thought about the possibility of the Sixers redeveloping one of the blocks east of the current location but I do not like the idea of the arena being further from Broad St and the subway.

In a lot of ways, I actually feel Broad and Washington makes a lot of sense.

Look at the street view history of the area around the Barclay's center. The stadium sits on a block that use to just be a huge barren concrete foundation.

I still stand by my vote for 8th and Market in this poll.

To the people that believe the Sixers should stay in South Philadelphia: What is the ideal situation? They play second fiddle to Comcast at the 35+ year old Wells Fargo Center? Or Comcast decides to sell off a parking lot to the Sixers and a new arena is built there? Maybe they build an arena towards Packer Avenue?
