Even though I don't live in Philadelphia (I live near St. Louis with my grandparents), and even though I'm a St. Louis Cardinals fan, but since my all time favorite years are from 2008 and before, and since my all time favorite dates are from Wednesday, December 31, 2008 and before while Johnny Carson and Jay Leno were hosting "The Tonight Show" on NBC (before Jimmy Fallon took over for Conan O'Brien on "Late Night" on NBC in March of 2009), and even though I wasn't born until Friday, February 1, 1991, but what memories do you have from the 1980 World Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Kansas City Royals, with manager Dallas Green, and players like Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Tug McGraw, Lonnie Smith, Greg Gross, Pete Rose, Bake McBride, Greg Luzinski, Garry Maddox, Manny Trillio, Larry Bowa, and Bob Boone?

The one guy you did not mention who was not only an impact player but also the most popular within the club-house was Pat Burrell. He left on free-agency in which the front office did not pursue resigning because of his lack of defense. However his team-mates were sorry to see him go and considered him the leader off the field.
