Hi, are there vineyards in the area that allow participation in harvesting of grapes?
If not, are there vineyards in the regional area for this type of thing?

Thank you.

I don't know of any. There is a Lehigh Valley wine trail, but that is consumption only. There are plenty of places to pick other fruit though. I am sure there are some closer but I am only really familiar with the ones in the Lehigh Vallery (Grim's Orchard, Siepels, George Schmidt).

I am pretty sure Renault Winery (at least pre-covid) had a public stomping of the grapes ceremony annually. No idea if they let you keep your grapes, though.

You may want to post this in the New York State forum. New York is the 2nd largest grape growing state in the USA. Grapes are mostly the concord variety.

Apparently, one of the wineries near Kennett Square used to do this but it is not popular enough in this country unfortunately. Here, it appears to be looked at as "slave labor" rather than appreciating how one's wine is made hands-on a bit.

Bonzai!!

Renault still does the harvesting process.

As some other users mentioned, here're some thoughts of my own on those various things:

I don't want to specifically pick grapes per se. Rather, hands-on part of the process which would include stomping grapes and having the right clothes for it.

I also wouldn't need to keep the grapes as the grapes are really meant for wine making and not so much for eating even though you could eat them.
