Is anyone here familiar with the Scudders Falls Area of the Delaware River just around Lower Makefield Area, PA? I think it's a little north of the Scudders Falls Bridge where I-95 crosses the river.

I heard about falls where people can swim and kayak in that area of the river, but cannot seem to find any details online about what that looks like. Has anyone been there by any chance or knows any more detailed information?

I've actually not been there — the New Hope exit on I-295 puts you onto a road that lies inland from PA 32 — but the falls (a rapids with a drop of about 10 feet) are about 1/4 mile or so upstream from the bridge.

The Wikipedia article on the falls says it's "popular with whitewater enthusiasts."

I suspect the access facilities are better on the New Jersey side of the river — they're right on NJ 29, the river road on the New Jersey bank of the Delaware. I-295 has an interchange with it as well.
