Kennsington 1982

By the late '80s, the white people that could get out, did.

Factory jobs leaving, the proliferation of illegal narcotics, an influx of poor Puerto Ricans who came for the jobs that were leaving and Section 8 housing. It was the perfect storm.

Based on my experiences, the Irish white trash Kensos aren't very pleasant to be around. The ones from the '90s are especially foul.

The Puerto Ricans took the neighborhood down to a mini-Bronx level.

LOL... you'd be robbed and shot in a matter of seconds if you did that. Funny though.

The fact that this place can exist, in plain veiw, out in the open, is one of the most amazing things in the world to me.

You have a city that is one of the most eclectic, energetic, historic and important cities IN THE WORLD. How the HAIL do you allow this look to happen? How the hell do you accept the utter bull$hit that occurs up there? How can ANY city government allow this to sully their city in their face?

I'm sorry. But on day one of my run as mayor (lol), I'm up there with the chief of police and any other government official I can get my hands on and declare that this monstrosity of humanity is OVER. And I go up and down the EL and snuff it out all the way to 69th.

You get arrested for driving drunk. You should get arrested for being so fvcked up you can literally pass out while standing up on Market and 13th.

What in the holy hell?
Hyperbole much?
If Philly disappeared from the world tomorrow, 99% of the world and 75% of the US wouldn't notice.
