Lachowicz' in Bridesburg retired, but the best kielbasi I've been getting is the smoked Hungarian sausage from Reiker's German in Fox Chase. Good God ... all I do with it is put a couple of slits in a link, microwave it for two minutes and put it on a roll with a little Gulden's. If I'm not being lazy, some sauteed onions makes it even better.
You need some Kosciusko spicy brown mustard with that.

Ok ... what is your 'go-to' meal when she's not looking? In other words, what food do you cheat with?

Isn't there a Philadelphia food thread?

Krispy Krunchy Chicken, served at select Sonocos is delicious and anyone that says otherwise is lying to themselves.

Couldn't +1 you here, so I will simply follow up by saying that Kosciuszko is the best spicy brown mustard found in most supermarkets.

Tadeusz Kosciuszko and Casimir Pulaski are the Polish noblemen whose support helped the American rebels defeat the British in the Revoultionary War. I'm honored to live on Pulaski Avenue in Germantown.
