Good news nobody was seriously hurt. Bad news 5 different structures look to be a complete loss. Appears fire started in an apartment complex that was under construction and spread to the occupied structures.

I just read about this on the Scranton
Times-Tribune online. Apparently the heat and smoke from this blaze was so intense that it caused a disturbance on weather radars as well. I hope the residents of Conshohocken band together and raise money to help those displaced. I'm actually not familiar with situations such as this. If you own a home, an accidental fire would be covered under your insurance. Is there such a thing as "renters' insurance" that would compensate you for all of your lost possessions in the case of a fire like this? What if it turns out to be arson? Will the residents still be compensated? What if it turns out that the construction company working on the unoccupied building started the fire out of negligence? Will they be held liable to pay millions to help relocate and refurbish new homes for these people?

I have a friend who lived there. She lost everything in the fire. Atleast she was insured.

My office is very close to this building. My coworkers and I are trying to find ways to help the victims. So far I have spoken to the Red Cross & I was told that they along with the Salvation Army only wants monetary donations. So if anyone is interested that local Red Cross that supports the Montgomery County Area is accepting donations. If you give through the United Way charities the Red Cross Code is 00003. Or you can send them a check directly to American Red Cross
