I was born in NYC ... Flushing, Queens to be exact.

While I love NYC, I am a Philadelphian for many years - by choice. I prefer to live in Philly and have no desire ever to live in the city of my birth ever again.

It seems Philly is becoming really, really popular with New Yorkers.

I see 10 New York License Plates a day on average.

The Philly areas ideal location, high quality of living, and relatively lower cost of living lends itself to attracting residents from the Bos-Wash corridor.

There a a number of NYers living in my neck of the woods ( Oak Lane) also. We are on a rail line so getting to NYC is easy. I was surprised at how many of my neighbors make that commute daily.

I know! My brother does it at least once a week and some of his friends do it daily.

That is definitely not for me although it makes me appreciate my 5 Minute commute more and more.

Oak Lane to NYC would be a brutal daily commute! Do they take the train in to CC, then switch to another train? Sounds like never seeing the sun in Philadelphia (on a weekday) for 5 months out of the year.
Been there...
